Primary and secondary schools

All our students attend public schools enjoying the same rights and obligations as their spanish classmates. InterHispania, through our local coordinators, is responsible for the enrollment at the schools before the students arrive in Spain and covering all expenses that the enrollment procedure requires. However is the student himself who will pay all extra expenses at the school, e.g. school books, sport clothes, etc.

The school year

The school year consists of three periods called "evaluaciones" that complement each other, along with the final exams (not only for cumulative subjects, such as languages) that the student must approve. At the end of the quarter students receive a newsletter with the skills they have obtained in individual subjects attending.

Las calificaciones se dan en función de los exámenes y los trabajos realizados. The ratings are based on the reviews and the work performed. Las puntuaciones, a diferencia de otros paises, van de 0 a 10, siendo 0 la puntuación peor y 10 la máxima ( 5 es el mínimo para aprobar). Scores, unlike other countries, ranging from 0 to 10, 0 being the worst and 10 scores the highest (5 is the minimum passing). Además, al final, el alumno obtiene una nota media de todo el curso teniendo en cuenta todas las calificaciones que ha obtenido. Moreover, in the end, the student gets an average of the whole course taking into account all the skills they have obtained.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Each quarter, the institute delivered to a student newsletter with the skills they have obtained. Este boletín debe ser entregado al coordidador local. This bulletin should be handed over to local coordidador.

If the student suspended one of the assessments, at the end of course, you can make some special examinations which give the opportunity to approve the subjects suspended. These tests are called recoveries, and together with the final examinations are conducted in early junio.Los good students often finish the course in early June, with no recoveries. These may make the final examination to improve note or by decision of the teacher. Students 2nd Baccalaureate must do a review at the end of June they will enter university. To enable them to prepare in time, classes will eventually around May 10.
