Host family

What is a host family?
A host family welcomes and hosts an international exchange student during his stay in Spain. The host family helps the student to get involved in the host family life and to integrate in their cultural environment. The host family also has an opportunity to learn and grow through accepting an student with a different language and cultural background.
To ensure a successful year for both host family and student, InterHispania establishes certain rules and procedures. Our local coordinators work closely with the host families and the students giving them constant support and assistance. They serve as a bridge between Interhispania and the host family. The family also counts on support from the head office staff. We are at their service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Which are the host family duties?
The student lives as a member of the host family. He shares equally in the rights and duties of the host home. The host family has the authority over the student, except of course in major decisions ( InterHispania is legal tutor during the stay). The student should receive understanding, affection and care, specially help to adapt to the host family.
